In honor of the Inauguration and President Obama’s national call to service, Starbucks has partnered with the Hands On Network for the Pledge 5 Campaign.
In exchange for 5 hours of volunteer service, Starbucks will give you a free Tall (12 oz) brewed coffee. The campaign runs from 21 January 2009 through 25 January 2009.
Use the form on the Starbucks page to find an organization in need. At the Hands On Network you can link to other volunteer aggregators, like 1-800-Volunteer.org. Just plug in your zipcode.
You can also type in a keyword. How about literacy? There is a great demand for tutors to help kids (and their parents) with reading.
